Spring Forward Again!


Philippians 4:6-8     Common English Bible (CEB)

6 Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. 7 Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.

8 From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise.



Peace is something that I am focusing on in my personal life these days. I know that this year is signaling important growth and changes for me professionally as well as personally. My yoga practice is helping me with my physical and spiritual focus inwardly by concentrating on strength, stability, then flexibility. Important qualities and attributes for our wellness and spiritual journey!


I recently heard a well known preacher talk about God as immutable, that is, not just that He does not change, but that God cannot change. When so many things in and around our lives change all the time just like the seasons do, it’s almost impossible to grasp that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. While difficult, it’s also encouraging, empowering and comforting to know that our stability, strength and flexibility is possible because of who God is and our personal relationship with him. He is the rock, the foundation in which we are rooted, allowing us to grow and shine ‘like diamonds in the sun!’


As we continue to Easter (resurrection Sunday) and the season of spring, new growth and new beginnings, I will seek to broaden the focus of my web site and blog posts to include discussions and information on wellness, nutrition and overall well-being.
